I did about 140 gigs down and 80 gigs up if I remember right. With the the 3 meg cap you may even be able to hit 1 terabyte in a month if you constantly download.

In any case they stopped doing it around june this year so I was really just saying it to be a jackass. As long as the rates stay relatively the same it won't be a bad thing.

You shall be solely responsible for and shall indemnify and hold Comcast and its affiliates, suppliers, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use or misuse of the Comcast Home Networking Service. if you get comcast installed, they can network your computers together. They say they wont network more than 5 on that service call.

You could have 10 computers on your network, and this doesnt mean crap. Its just pertaining to their home networking install service they offer.

not here with comcast - they don't do home networking - only will set up one unit and the network and equipment is all you !
and if you have over 5 computers hooked up then you have to pay there business rate of $98 a month i know this for a fact i spoke to them about it .
then there is a corp rate to dont know were that starts or rate . may just be the detroit metro area but thats the infomation they told me on the phone and in some paper work they sent me just 2 months ago !

How do they know how many computers you have hooked up to the network? Especially if you're behind a router or a firewall? They shouldn't be able to detect that... I wouldn't think?

Yep... unless they come in to your house and SEE you have that many.

They can't know, the worst they are going to see is 5 or 6 http requests going out at the same time. Or a quake game and a ut game at the same time. This alone is not enough to prove that you have multiple computers, unless you aren't using nat there is no conclusive way to know.
