Can anyone tell me of a site for the max processor for an Intel CA810 i810

Post by DaMaN »

Intel site says Celeron processors but will a newer >1.0ghz one work?

Will a P3 FCPGA work up to what speed?

I hate Intel's site. Thanks.

The highest chip I was able to run on one was a CII 600 1.5 volt... ;)

Worked on a 6535 not long ago. It had an 810 chipset board. It was not a CA810. That might be the difference... ;)

There's 2 or 3 revisions of that board... I had oen of the older revisions and the highest i could go was the 533 PPGA package... The latest revision which Intel should show all this on their site cause this is where i got it from way back them. But it would take the newer Celeron FC-PGA's and P3's.

I am upgrading a system for a co-worker and would hate to buy a processor for nothing if it didn't work for him. What do you reccomend I should go for a celeron or p3 and how high? It has a Celeron 466 now. =/.

If it has a 466 chances are its the first revision of that board. And it will only take up to a 533 PPGA celeron.

http://support.intel.com/support/mother ... ocsupp.htm

Read this list here and figure out which revision the motherboard is. That will tell you what you can put on this motherboard :)

Depending on which board it is it will accept up to a 850MHz P3 at 100Mhz FSB
