Well my kingmax 2700 is running at 343 cas2 1t command I'd slow timings if I could by my proccessor more or less caps out at 2574 so I'll keep the agressive timings
as for higher results I'd say it's mostly because of the bigger pipe the QDR fsb allows...my FSB is at 572mhz
and while I did own a nice amd setup for awhile I have to say that even given the lower IPC higher clockrates DO have certain advantages....

You guys with P4 what are the memory scores with Sandra??? I can't see how your mem scores are that high when you not really pushing the FSB much... Well guess ya kinda are since they are default at 100 but 140 ain't much.

By comparing to other scores here, I am really disappointed in my scores.
AMD 2000+
512 megs Crucial DDR (2 256s)
DFI AK76-SN motherboard (761/Via chipset)
GeForce 4600
WD 7200 rpm 20.5 gig (ATA 66) (on 80 wire, IDE 1, Master)
WD 5400 rpm 13 gig (ATA 66) (on same 80 wire, IDE 1, Slave)
Antec 400 Power Supply
Windows XP Pro
My HDD's have notoriously always scored low in any kind of tests I have ran. I must have just got 2 really slow ones. My system seems fast to me but I always seem to score lower than other comparable systems.

Sure, you have more bandwidth, but your ISP analogy is flawed.
Imagine you have a cable modem connection to your ISP. Nice bandwitdh, eh? But what if the ISP is only capable of 56 kbps speeds on their end? Your bandwidth is wasted, except on bursts from the ISP router. ATA drive performance is the same. What good is all that bandwidth if you cannot use it, except on very short bursts?

Argue all you want... But why is it i notice a hell of a speed increase in my hard drive performance if i change it from mode3 to mode 6 explain that... I guess its just all in my imagination... Its still gonna make a difference speed wise no matter how you look at it so YES it will affect the PCMark scores.
I agree with you that it makes a difference in PCMark. I just think the benchmark is broken, that's all.
If switching from ATA133 to ATA100 gives you lower benchmark results, the benchmark is not performing tests representative of the real world. Find a more established, mature benchmark and then see if the 133-->100 switch greatly affects results. It shouldn't.
I assume the disk benchmark will be fixed in later versions of PCMark.

my first one:
http://service.madonion.com/servlet/Ind ... tId=253256
CPU: 3177
Memory: 2190
HDD: 869
Not bad..
I am going to get some high FSB in a little while, after the ASII matures. I want to see if I can get to at least 145-150 FSB. I'm at 133. Than play with some ram timings.
What would be the best settings for two Crucial PC2100 DDR Sticks?
Thanks!
