I use IE but I don't want to leave that resource hog running all the time, however I do want to know when I've got new mail.
So what I do right now is I use Netscape's little Mail Notification taskbar backgroup app. It's very small and is no performance hit on the system HOWEVER it's not perfect.
It has a nasty habit of forgetting my email password. I'm prompted at least once a day to re-enter it. This is REAL annoying.
Can anyone recommend something similar? I need a small footprint app that runs in the background and gives me both an audible and visual (some kind of taskbar indicator) alert that I've got mail in my POP3 server.
Thx...
Can anyone recommend a background email checker app?
