Kinda Geeky but cool BBQ grill gadget

Post by EvilHorace »

I dunno about you but I like to grill alot, even in the winter (cold/snow OK) but sometimes I'm grilling and on the PC often at the same time and sometimes forget about the food on the grill 'till it's almost too late, overcooked it :( (easy to do really) so I ran across this new device and although not cheap, it's too cool to pass up. I also luv gadgets so it'll work for me.
Just thought I'd pass it on

-although not shown online (is in the paper catelog), the remote (receiver) has an LCD screen too which shows the actual temp of the meat, etc

One note about this company though, I once before bought something from them (about a year ago)and they signed me up for one of those "free gifts" where you get a trial 30 day membership or by default they start charging your card. If they still do that, just SAY NO to any "free gifts" and you'll be OK.

But...........................................

I DO! My grill(s).....2 reside close to my back porch (no, not TOO close) and I'll grill even if there's snow or if it's 20F below (even though that's somewhat of a pain due to needing to increase cooking time, colder air). There's a path cleared on the grass area for the grills when need be, yes.

Now......as for the new toy, I've used it 2 nights now in the oven (sorry, no grillables this weekend) and it works great. I can sit up here on the PC and see the meats temp, plus the countdown timer (both set off an alarm) at the same time, no need to go downstairs to check it un-necessarily.
