Anyone recommend a good quiet 80mm fan?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

My case uses 2 80mm intake fans and I'd like to quiet them down.

I've heard Panaflo L1A fans are pretty quiet.

Thanks...

panaflows are rather quiet for the air they move but they move alot of air so are still kind of loud. Thermaltake ones are pritty quiet. if U was the quietest head over to KDComputers and pick up there 0.8w 25cfm sunons. 23 DBl's that is what I use in my system. Extreamly quiet...but my system ahs 3 intake and 2 out.

Sunon has some low speed 80mm that are near silent, and yes the Panaflo L1As are too. The low-speed Sunon moves just a little more air.

I also use two 120mm Panaflows L1A and they are pretty quite...
another way of making thing quiter is attach them to a Rheustate (as i did) or use a 5V/off/12V switch... or simply tun them from 5V current (instead of the yellow and black wires, use the RED and black wires or Yellow and RED for 7V)....

Good luck,
Gal
