yea try a different multiplier or a bios update like doc sugested. or U can jstu raise your FSB. that is where the speed really is. if U sase it from say 133 to 150 that is Far betterthen jsut raising the multiplier from 10to 11 or what ever. might need more cooling for that though.

well here is whatthey have to offer. http://www.msi.com.tw/support/bios/socket_a.php just pick your board and you are ready yo go. Just pick the latest. maby of U had a better heatsink it would have booted and been stable at that speed.

Peltiers are for extreme overclocking any good copper HSF setup will do the trick... the CAK 38 the SK6 Alpha has a new copper one out i think... to me peltiers are a waste of time that global you have right now should be more than enough i ran a 1.33@1.6 on mine for a month with a qbk38 but then changed mobo's and broke the center peg on my 8k7a so i got a taisol and put on it.
why do you keep trying to change the multiplier? Changing the fsb like nexus mentioned is far better than changing the mult. When the fsb is faster everything else is faster. Doesnt your baord offer fsb adjustments? If it doesnt I would invest in one that does. Is your chip a 200 or 266? I'm assuming a 266 with 9 on the multi?

You could also check the forums at http://www.amdmb.com ... maybe it's just a jumper ... I remember A7V and A7V133 boards didn't do 1.85V in jumperfree mode when the voltage jumpers were on that setting, you had to set the voltage jumpers to 1.85V to get this working in the jumperfree mode ... strange but true and the voltage jumpers are ignored in jumperfree mode.
Just another idea

if i were you i would put that board up for sale and get a good one. a good motherboard makes all the difference.
what are you running the voltage at?
