FYI...

If your kid is off to college. Have them check with their school's book store. Chances are they can pick up "educational" versions of all the software for well under what you expect. I remember only paying like $50 for the full version of office 95 when it came out and I was at PSU. (It was around $400 in stores I think).

There is no difference in software except it says "educational" on the box.

Depending on what school they go to, it could be even cheaper... some schools have deals with different Software manufactures.

Yes, you can make a backup copy of most software, but you are still not allowed to install it on more than one machine at a time.

It is people like you who make the software more expensive for the rest of us.

have ever purchased any server software. I purchased an original copy of windows nt 4.0 server edition for about 1,350. that is alot of money. but remeber you can buy license for software for $2 each.
so plz :p :p :p :p off stop your bitching. You may have alot of money to spend on such careless things. but i only purchase what i feel it deserves to be purchased. How much do you make year. compare taht to what bil gates does. so i would shut your trap TSDible.
