Dead ECS mobo?

Post by blade »

Trying to make a system with one, the k7s5a. Takes either ddr or sdram. Anyway I get zero video and no beeps at all. Lights and fans come on but no video.

Tried the usual, 2 different cpu's, different ram, ddr and sdram, different power supply, mobo out of case, different video card, holding my left leg up, reseating everything several times, using words I've never heard of but still zero video and no beeps.

Any ideas? Or do I rma this puppy, hope it's an easy process with ecs.

This is a long shot blade. I'm pretty sure it isn't it but, I'll throw it out. I had a problem with it anyways. Are the chips unlocked via pencil trick. Since I had a problem of it not liking unlocked chips that aren't quite right. If it is even slighty off it gave me the black screen. I ended up erasing the bridges since, it doesn't have multiplier support anyways. Well Good Luck

i am RMA'ing mine...if you saw my thread on the bios beeps. i got it from newegg.com, so i used their online RMA form and it was approved in about 15 minutes via email. they have a 15% restocking fee, but on the RMA it says "Restocking Fee: NO". :)

just costs to ship it.
