OT:Shipping from US to canada

Hi guys i am curious, i recently purchased a new set of door panels for my car from a fellow in the states, and he is telling me that he cannot ship them through USPS due to their size, that they just wont accept them, and i am very opposed to shipping through ups or fedex do to the raping i wuld recieve on brokerage fees... guys, what am i to do here? btw, what is the biggest package USPS will take?
