If they'll help, I have a few old 420MB IDE drives sitting here... I can test them for you and make sure they still work... :) They've been sitting on a shelf for a year so they should work OK...

Thanks DaveJ. The problem is that I believe I need at least a 2GB to fit Windows and the applications she needs. I appreciate the offer though.

Hey dude -- I can throw in a sound card/modem from an old Cyrix 200. It's based on a Rockwell chipset and runs @ 28.8 and has a built in sound card. If ya want it give me an email at lethalx2001@yahoo.com

Thanks Lethal_[X],
I have a win modem that I have lying around and probably won't need so I was just going to use that. The sound card is being provided by nitro237. All I really need is a hard drive. Also, if anyone from the Bay Area (California) has a spare cheap ATX case that they would be willing to donate, I would be so grateful if I could pick it up. It doesn't even need to have a power supply. I have spare power supplies. Just need a cheap ATX case. Thanks.
