World Trade Center and Pentagon attacked
No, it's not fair to comdemn an entire people, but that is easier said than done (whoever said life was fair anyway??). How can you tell the difference who is good or bad??? The fact is, terrorists are living on our soil, getting trained by us. How can you help not discriminating? Sorry, but I'll do what I have to to protect myself, my family and my country. So yeah, unfortunate as it may be, there is going to be some major discrimination going around. :|
i see you point wvkess, but my problem, is that kids are seeing all of this first hand, and kids do not need to see racism first hand like they are. it just really disturbs me.
Have no fear, the BEEF is here.

I base my opinions on what I see.... The Russian president called us, The Chinese President called us, the NATO members called us. Most countries around the world said something... They all called to express sympathy. All called to give support. What did we get from Palistine? From Afghanistan? People dancing in the streets. Children handing out candy. Parties that I am sure will last for days. Yeah Arifhat condoned the act, but his people are cheering, so what kind of credibility does his statement deserve?
Wow, I am thoroughly disgusted by the discussion here. Everyone here should seriously think about what they are saying (or typing). Most of you are barely a step above Nazis. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who believes that the Muslim faith is to blame for their problems is quite diluted. That, or you think Hitler was an ok kind of guy, because that is who you sound like.
Seriously, people, look at what you are SAYING!
Hate solves nothing. You are not helping at all, and are simply fueling emotions and draining yourself needlessly. If you feel so strongly, go to f***ing NYC and volunteer. Don't make empty threats against people you obviously do not understand.

ok, say it is Afghanistan. Where do we hit? The place has nothing but rugged terrain and most have no electricity and live in ruins. But of course the ruling government lives well as I'm sure Laden, wherever he is.
The point is we'll never hurt them near as much as they have hurt us.
And they know this very well.

Here in Kabul, the capital, roaming clusters of widows beg in the streets, their palms seemingly frozen in a supplicant pose. Withered men pull overloaded carts, their labor less costly than the price of a donkey.
Children play in vast ruins, their limbs sometimes wrenched away by remnant land mines. The national life expectancy, according to the central statistics office, has fallen to 42 years old for males and 40 for females.
The prolonged drought has sent nearly a million Afghans — about 5 percent of the population — on a desperate flight from hunger. Some have gone to other Afghan cities, others across the border. More than one million are "at risk of starvation," according to the United Nations.
Famine is the catastrophe Afghans are used to hearing about. Few yet know of the threat of an American reprisal. The Taliban long ago banned television, and the lack of electricity keeps most people from listening to radio.
Women have been forced into head-to-toe gowns and evicted from schools and the workplace. Men are obligated to wear long beards or face jail. Banned are musical instruments, chess boards, playing cards, nail polish and neckties. Cheers at soccer matches are restricted to "Allah-o-Akbar," or God is great. Freedom of speech has bowed to religious totalitarianism.
And they have nothing nearly as valuable as what they destroyed in New York. All we can do is destroy terrorism and stop any country from harboring them. And of course get those like bin Laden and get them hard. Sadly that's about all we can do. How can we be sure if we kill 5000 people that they had a part in this. This is going to take some time to be accurate and to get the proper retaliation.

I wish the exchange with Zakar had not gotten out of control. I am just a white guy and if somebody made a reference in a thread to "honky" or a local D.C. favorite "white bitch", I would feel prompted to respond.
As angry as I am, I think that it is wrong to use terms such as "sand flea" "raghead" or "sand monkey".
My gut wants to kill anybody or anything that even looks arabic right now. However, I also have a brain. My brain tells me that not every arab is filled with hate, not every arab is so short sighted as to endorse this senseless act and that my emotions should not do all the driving.
Revenge is a dish that is best served cold.
