Asus A7A266 temps

Post by NascarFool »

I just traded towers with my Slot A.(the tower from the Slot A post is now the home of my 1.33 Bird) Now My A7A266 with a 1.33@1.50 Tbird @ 1.750v is showing 131ºF cpu/86ºF system. The room temp is 75ºF. I , NascarFool, being of sane mind and a damned good HVAC tech, am the owner of several electronic devices. :D (just had to toss that in there) I have a Raytek Infrared thermometer and when I check the temp at the bottom of the HFS, it shows 93ºF. Now I now that temp is not the same as the core but 38ºF differance ? The heatsink is not hot at all, in fact it's not warm either. It feels cool to the touch. I use MBM5.09 for temp monitoring. The above mentioned temps are with Folding@Home running.

I have same Motherboard. Same thing here, fan and heatsink barely feel warm. But my temps are pretty close to the same temp. Mine is barely overclocked though!

Bios 1003 showed a temperature difference of 18ºF. I flashed the bios back to 1006, then set MotherBoardMonitor -18ºF offset. Now at 1585MHz @ 1.90v it is running at 105ºF idle. :)
