Iwill mobo's, any good ??

Post by LutaWicasa »

Started looking around for a mobo based on the i815EP B chipset. Being an avid Abit user, I checked around about the ST6. Well, first there's no Vio tweakage and I've heard about stability probs and leaky caps. So let's see what Asus has. The Tusl2-c. Seems to be a-okay..........wait, there's no Vcc tweakage while using the Tualatin chip. Damn!! Somebody tells me that Iwill has just introduced the BD133u. It has FSB options to 200 Mhz, Vcc options and independant agp and ram voltage tweaks. Great! Only prob is, I've never had an Iwill and don't know anyone who has. Anybody know of the quality, stability, support (if needed) etc. ? Any input is much appreciated. :)

my First Mboard ever ages ago was an Iwill...it rocked. then a few years passed and I have tried different boards threw out the time and now I am back on an Iwil lboard. I have bothere there top end AMD based boards so I can say that they are the 2 best boards I have ever owned. so I ca njsut assume there intel line of boards are Just as good.

Hey, how ya doin Greg ?? Only met ya the 1 time I picked up a coupla 120mm fans from ya. So Iwill is a class act, eh?? Now all I gotta do is find the BD133u someplace :) Nothing on Pricewatch yet, and at the Iwill site they have a limmited list of re-sellers. Only found 1 that even listed this board and they would have to order it.

yep..they have good stuff...even called me back once when I left a Message for them..Shoking! yea ya live close and you didnt even come to the PCA party...Some people. ;) i would give it about a week and there will be a good 10 places on pricewatch that carry it. THey are one of the smallest mboard makers out there and they just really hit big in the OC market. they were mostly an Onboard company. I had one with onboard scsi.

Wish I could've come to the partay, but until just this last coupla weeks I've been suffering from terminal lack of work. Two weeks ago started with a new company. Think I'll like them okay. We do work all over the U.S. next month I've got a gig to do in Florida :) Lot of the other guys there are married and whatnot, so it looks like I'll pull a lot of their out-of-town work. Come about Jan. might be going to the Bahamas and getting paid for it :D

Thanks for the reply guys. I've decided I will be using Iwill, but not the i815 chipset. Next box I start putting together is gonna be a 1 Ghz T-Bird.
