"Big" day tomarrow...
Got my first job interview tomarrow
Tomarrow at 8:00 to be exact. It's the local movie theater and my friend works there. He says they are desperate and will hire me on the spot and they pay $6.25 an hour. Only downfall is I said I could work as soon as they wanted but completely forgot that I'm leaving for a week (from the 24th to the 1st) So hopefully he won't need me right away or if he does, he will understand...

No more cutting grass for $4, no more squandering the petty $8 I have in my back pocket, I'll be FREEEE!!!!!

I got the job. I'll probably go in sunday and do training and then may work for a few days but then I gotta leave for a week (24-1st--fishing trip) then I come back to work at ~25hours a week at $6.25.
I've now been sucked into the system. "welcome my son. Welcome.......to the machine!"

As a reference HT my first week at my job was 23 hours, I make $6.50 an hour. My paycheck was for $120 and I made $150 before taxes. I've had $181.47 taken outta $827.13 so far and as of now I'm in line to get $118.20 back which grows each week. By the way I'm in GA and 16 years old w/ 0 dependencies.

Well, taxes are terriable....I just got laid off from a company and got a severance and I got 28% taken out in taxes.....so out of a $2400 check, I only got $1600 from the check....that's $800! sheesh. At least I'll get most of that back in my tax refund next year.

Sweet. I just can't wait till the point where I'm familiar with my job and I have a steady pay-check. That'll be awsome
No more relying on birthdays/christmas for things I want
It's just gotten so hard to buy stuff lately cause with the car and paying for gas money and all. That and when I do wanna sell stuff it's hard for me to even pay shipping at times! Thats how broke I am
It'll be nice to have a little more freedom, even if I still do have to pay for insurance, gas, etc. I should have some money extra, I would hope!

You really should save a little of it every time. Like $20 a paycheck or something, you'll be glad you did the next time some big thing comes up. I wish I would done that, but I always blow my paychecks within days. Then again it has been the summer

Yeah, my mom wants me to save 75% of it and put it in the bank. But I don't get how thats gonna happen and still leave me with enough cash for gas, insurance, and play. I'll probably just reverse it and save 25% of it. Who knows, theres nothin' real big on my list that I want right now (maybe do an engine swap with my car one of these days--can you say turbo? <img src=http://members.home.net/hipnotictranz/pca/evil.gif>) And my computer is doin' my fine now so I have no real urge to upgrade. A couple DVD's I want, but thats it. Oh and possibly a CD-Burner, but thats it. oh, maybe an electric guitar........
nevermind, there are things I want
