Well, like I said, I ain't never ever gonna let this thread die
I know I ain't been postin' in this very much as of late, but that's due to my decreased online activity (hence fewer links to post), plus I had a major hardware failure over the weekend, which temporarily disconnected me from the internet COMPLETELY. But anyway, all that is the past now
My link? There's nothing here yet, but check back in about a week - I'll have something to show
After 10pm, I'm like a werewolf, except I become stupid and incoherent instead of hairy and mean.

barefoot: First off: You couldn't have come closer if you tried....you're also lucky your clock wasn't off of the time PCA has. Second: You need to have SOMETHING on that geocities page....even an 'under construction' page.
My Daily link (a couple bonuses today too): Hometown Favorites (buy candies and other food that are hard to find or are classics that are no longer available in some areas) It was on the show Candy Bars Unwrapped on Food TV Network
Oh....and the reason I was really into Pretzals the other day? Well, at my work (retail) I work in a mall....and there is an Auntie Anne's in the mall. I LOVE these pretzals. And they are not expensive either for the size. The Pretzals are a little bigger than an average mouse pad and they are only $1.85. I've gotten addicted to these things. I end up buying at LEAST 1 a day now. My favorites right now are seasame and jalapeano (sp?). They even have 'dessert' pretzals....glazin' rasin and almond....mmmm. If you have never tried a pretzal from this company....do whatever you can to get one....they are so good. (and who can't spare $2 as lunch? I mean....these things are filling and are a great lunch or break food.) Ok, I'm talking too much about 'em since I've been without a pretzal for what's going on 5 days. ahhhh! (I've been working the closing shift, so everytime I would normally grab one, they are already closed.)

One thing that goes through my mind constantly: "How the hell does the date keep getting changed on my fscking clock!?"

Well, I was looking around at the different Wi-Fi Options that are available from 3Com here: Wireless LAN. This is also one of those times when Apple has shown that if they want to, they can make something better than the normal PC industry. Their Airport device could not be simpler to use nor have more options if they tried. If I had a mac, this would alleviate the issue on which type of equipment would be good for my home as well as how much money I have to spend.
Figure this out.....cost of an Airport setup (If I had Macs.....I don't):
1 Airport Base Station = $299
2 Airport Cards ($99 each) = $198
--------------------------------------------
Total cost for a setup to cover 2 laptops: $497
Prices from 3Com for Wi-Fi equipment:
Home Wireless Gateway = $331
2 PCMCIA Wi-Fi Cards with XJACK Antenna ($179 each) = $358
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Cost for a setup to cover 2 laptops: $689
This really annoys me. I would love to be able to sit on my back porch (or on my bed, couch, etc) and wirelessly surf the web (since I have a cable modem) and I am drooling over a couple different slim laptops too. (I wish.) My Mom currently has a laptop and so we would always have to figure the cost for her laptop and the one I would want to get (when Hell freezes over is the time I'll have the money). Maybe my next post will mention the computers I am drooling over.....yes a couple of them ARE macs.....but only because they would just be web computers. (I know how to use both....so I am flexible....even better if I might win one.
[crosses fingers with all the web contests he entered....hoping to win SOMEHING.] ) In general, I'm getting sick of sitting at a desk to use my nice 1Ghz Athlon during those times when I am just surfing the web.....my a@@ gets really sore from this metal folding chair when I am sitting here longer than 30 min.
Even sitting on my bed or the couch would be so much nicer.

I would *so* trade my desktop PC for this notebook in a heart beat!

And did they mention that that is a slot loading DVD drive down there on the right side?Just 1 inch thick and weighing a mere 5.3 pounds, the PowerBook G4 is a heavyweight in an ultralight body-the world’s first notebook computer made of 99.5% pure grade CP1 (meaning commercially pure) titanium.
