Anyone want to do a "Ghost How-To"?

Or any other for that matter but I think we could use one specifically on Ghost(the hard drive copy application). This will go on the PCA main site, you will be famous and da chix will scream!! :D

Only from a regular PCA member please.

Hmm...ask NascarFool. He was using Ghost on a laptop last week whilst I was talking to him on ICQ and gobbling up the bandwidth on his server :D
After 10pm, I'm like a werewolf, except I become stupid and incoherent instead of hairy and mean.

Need I say more?"

For Win9x/ME, all you need is ghost.exe or ghostpe.exe. I keep ghostpe.exe in a folder on drive D. (D:\Ghost\ghostpe.exe) I also store my ghost image in the same directory. I use Ghost Personal Edition from the Norton System Works 2001 CD. If you install Ghost PE, you then can explore and restore from your saved image file. As for "spanning", I have not yet worked on that. If your image is under 700MB, you can burn it along with ghostpe.exe or ghost.exe to a bootable CD and from a formatted harddrive you can install Windows nice and fresh in minutes compared to hours from a fresh install + software install. I'll see if I can write something that is easy to follow. :D

It means "Read the f*@king manual.". I'll keep to myself how appropriate I think that comment was or wasn't in this instance.
Nascarfool I used Ghost in much the same way as you described. I had the ghost.exe and the ghost image on my e: (e for emergency ... :D ) drive. It made for about a 7 minute Windows reinstall. 'Course my PC is a paper-weight right now but that's another thread altogether. :P
At any rate I don't feel that I'm anywhere near an authority on the program so I'll let someone else step up to this particular plate but I think this is a great idea ... Ghost has to be one of the most useful programs ever written.

Being "appropriate" had nothing to do with it sloopyman. Dirk has been making digs or umm "comments" at others for years (as he did again here) so I owed him that. :D Plus it was a joke and I know Dirk would see it that way. But I know you didn't know all that. ;)
