Yup. Done. And I will most likely play it again. I am telling you, this game kicks serious ass!! Go get it, you won't be disappointed.

Hard-core players that blast right through and don't take any side streets can do it in 8 - 10.
Also, when you finish the game you get a couple of game options unlocked - here's what it says in the README file (I just installed the game this minute):
After you play through Max Payne once, the "Hard-Boiled" difficulty level and the "New York Minute" game mode are unlocked.
In New York Minute the goal is to complete the levels as quickly as possible. Shooting enemies will give you additional time and the total time is printed upon completion of Part I, Part II and Part III.
The time printed is the net play time, excluding in-game cinematics, graphic novels, loading levels, saving the game and loading saved games.
Try to beat Remedy's par times!

Well I just finished it and I don't recall seeing any side streets, it's all pretty linear. I'd guess it took me around 12 hours to finish it, and I must say it was a great game, best action game I've played in a long time. The ending was cool too, it's gonna stay on my HD and I'll load it up once in a while to play the harder difficulty levels and stuff...

Here's my mini-review:
I'm just part of the way into the first act.
PERFORMANCE: Great! I'm not running a high-end system here. It's a P3-550@733 with an older Geforce1 DDR. Gameplay is smooth at 1024x768x32 using their default settings which seem to have most of the eye candy sliders full on. Pleasant suprise - I didn't expect to be able to hit that high a res. I can run CS at 1024x768 on this rig, but the best I can do in Q3 is 800x600.
I do get a bit of lag when there's more than 3 enemies on the screen though. Might try cranking it down to 800x600 to see if it's the resolution or just AI causing it.
GRAPHICS: Impressive. Dunno why some people say they aren't. Maybe because I'm a programmer and can appreciate it. EVERYTHING really is destructable.
One dissapointment is that there's no lip movement. Heck HL did it 3 YEARS ago, and I think it's rather unforgivable that a modern game that's SPECIFICALLY designed for single player AND has a substantial story line and character interaction doesn't have it.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! Load up on ammo, save the game and start shooting at EVERYTHING! It's fun. Shoot at some of the metal signs on the wall - sometimes they'll swing down like they've lost all but one screw. Shoot the ceiling lights and they short out. Shoot the tile walls in the subway and pieces go flying and tinkle to the floor. Shoot any propane tanks you see. Jump in front of train. The game engine really has some nice effects and features. There's a LOT of detail.
Textures are very realistic. Gritty and real looking like Kingpin and Half-Life, not cartoonish. Lockers and cabinets really open and the stuff looks real sitting on the shelves.
SOUND: Excellent. Quality recording work and voice acting is excellent.
MOOD: Immersive. Take the time to pay attention to the narration and story line. It makes the mood.
CONTROLS: Anyone who plays any FPS will feel right at home. Some additions are roll right and left (jump+strafeleft or straferight). Roll back, and ofcourse BULLET TIME! Take the time to run the tutorial. It's short and you get to shoot lots of bad guys and play with bullet time. It takes just a few minutes to feel totally comfortable with bullet time.
There's 2 bullet time keys: one toggles it on and off. The other toggles it on and automatically toggles it off when you fire a weapon. I bound them to the 2 spare keys on my MS Explorer mouse.
Overall I'm impressed so far. Weapons physics feel good and there's a more than noticeable impact difference in the 3 weapons I have so far (baretta, Desert Eagle, and shotgun). Dual barettas are blast.

I just got into it a little tonight and I agree with you pretty much word for word FP, one thing, maybe I'm just wierd but I remap the keyboard with every game so the left strafe key is F, foward is E, etc. I do this so when I'm playing at night or just really into the game I can find the little nub and re-orientate very quickly should my hands come off the keys, Am I the only one who thinks this makes since? Only thing, every dang FPS comes set up as W,A,S,D etc. Maybe some day they will see it my way. Well, back to playing.

Oh heck, I have to remap EVERY FPS I play! I use a VERY strange combination that's a modified variant of the old Duke Nukem 3D keyboard layout:
shoot = left mouse button
forward = right mouse button
back = left shift
left strafe = left ctrl
right strafe = left ALT
jump = A
crouch = Z
Works for me...

The reason I used edsf for movement is due to the fact that there are serveral additional keys that most shooters require you to bind in order to play, be it voice menus, flashlight button, whatever. With edsf as movement, I then have w, q, a, z, x, c, v, b, g, t, r, 1, 2, 3, 4, tab, shift, alt, space, and ctrl available.
