O/C Question

Post by Peacekeepr »

A few months ago while still at school I purchased a Celey 700 and fired it in my machine. Since that day It has been overclocked to 1 gig @ 100 bus.

The temperature really depends on the temperature of the day as I dont have air conditioning, However I have yet to see it go over 50 degrees, usually it hovers around 47-49 when in use or 43-45 when just sitting. The machine hasnt really locked up or shown any other signs of something going haywire with it.

Should I be overclocking it that high?? ANy side effects I will start to see??

My box is

Celey 700 @ 1 gig
Asus P3B-F ATX Motherboard
360MB Ram
32 meg Geforce 2 Mx
Soundblaster 128
Dlink 10/100 NIC
56k Modem

Thanks in advanced

I think your temps are pretty high. I would upgrade you heat sink and fan and see if you could improve on the case cooling. If the machine is running stable I would leave it there but, I would definatly get it cooled down so that it will live a little longer.
