heatsink/fan mod

Post by sethpa »

I mentioned this a while back, about strappin' an 80 mm fan on, instead of putting up with the Delta whine. I took a pic and thought I'd show you how it looked. Been using it for months without a problem. As long as your heatsink is about the same size as the fan, it should work.

Nice work Sethpa ;)
I have one of these Fan adapters on my 60mm hedgehog with a 68cfm Delta on it. All my fans are on a dual-speed fanbus so I can lower them during Off-peak periods, works out nicely, cause that delta screams like a Banshee

that delta is horrible. it scared me when I first started it up. I thought the heatsink was going to rip off the motherboard.
