Nope, this is the closest (took me forever to go through the times, least I didn't have to read all the posts
:

This even keeps in mind when the pca forums went down....that was about 2 hours...this was about 1 hour left. Well, let's see if we get any closer next time.Posted by Zyph on 06-07-2001 05:24 PM:
Well, ok, Stacy has had enough time with this thread....my turn.

Bet you were hopin' I would forget ALL about this lil ole thread now weren't you Zyph????
hehehehehehehehe......and you were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close
Like I said...huh, what, wasn't 'payin' attention'........(that's why it was MORE than a minute for me to respond).......Zyph, you'll have to come up with something good to hold my attention...hehe. Tho I'd like to know just exactly what you are saying, are you tryin' to imply that I only last a minute???? Just exactly how would you know??????? hmmmmmmmmm?????
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Hmmmm.....looks around.....looks again...nope, no webcam....Zyph, I think you are imagining things, have you been taking those little red pills again?????
As for what kinds of things I like to hold.........I have the BEST answer for that question....but it would FOR SURE get this thread locked....so I'll repeat what I said.....with emphasis....something good to hold MY ATTENTION.

Well, I think I gave you enough time on top....I'm pushing you off.
I thought of a way to either make this thread better or the next time we do this thread, for every post we have to either post a link to the last place we were at before PCA or one of our favorites....and you can't post a website more than once (but you CAN post a different area, for example, if I was looking at a PDA @ Amazon.com, I couldn't post anything else in electronics, but then if I was listening to samples from a CD, I could post that....but please avoid posting links to online stores....it was just an example.) Of course, you can post something more than once if your second link is different (for example, if I wanted everyone to look at my website...that would be a link in one post, but if I wanted others to look at it again, I would also have to post another NEW link as well.)
[edit to rules]
No pr0n! If the last place you visited was pr0n, post something from your favorites instead. It ain't hard people.
Also, no posting a 'standard bookmark'. (You know what I'm talking about, a bookmark that is created by the Software when it gets installed, which any self-respecting user would delete first thing.)
I would have thought it to be common sense, but I want to mention it anyway, no posting the same link as a previous person. (If you both ended up posting the same link at the same time [the likeyhood of that happenning is about 1:10,000,000] so don't worry about editing it.)
So wadda peeps think?
To help start it off, I'm posting a favorite:
http://www.pvponline.com/
And since I made a change to this post, I'm throwing in an extra link too:
http://www.tweakfiles.com/

Ya know, Zyph, I honestly think that's the best idea for entertainment in this thread that I've heard yet. Just to show how I intend to perpetuate that, here's the last place I visited: Anandtech's For Sale, Buy, and Trade Forum. Oh, and if you look for a thread by one 'Barefoot' character....that'd be me
Anyway, it's been a few days since I last posted in here. Why? Because I'm finally upgrading to a computer I can keep. It's gonna be nice, too. Here's a few preliminary specs on what it's gonna look like when it's completely finished:
AMD Athlon 950MHz Slot A (nixed
)
Abit KA7-100 Slot A mobo (nixed
)
256MB Micron PC133
8MB ATi All-In-Wonder Pro AGP
Creative Dxr2 PCI DVD Decoder
Phillips Acoustic Edge sound card (note: may end up being a Santa Cruz, depends on what I get first)
some sort of PCI NIC
56K PCI WinModem (I'm on a T1 lan, what the heck do I need anything better for?
)
Adaptec 1540 ISA SCSI-2 HBA
prolly a PCI FM tuner, maybe a PCI GF2MX also (depends on if I get both of my project monitors fixed)
Creative PC-DVD 2x DVD-ROM
Phillips CDD3610 2x2x6 CDRW
Iomega Zip100 Internal IDE
Iomega Jaz 1GB Internal SCSI
Imation SuperDisk LS-120 IDE
2x Maxtor 51024U2 (or 91024U2) 10GB ATA66 in Raid Stripe 0
Win2KPro
Office2KPro
FrontPage2K
17" Orchestra monitor
(Possibly additional 15" Reflex monitor)
Cambridge FPS1000 speakers or Klipsch ProMedia v4.1 (if I have enough cash left over)
That's what the end product will look like. It might still be a month or two before I reach that point, but it's well on its way. Oh, and wanna know what it will all cost me? $450
And that's no lie, either
UPDATE: Check that on the mobo/CPU. The guy just told me he wants $210 shipped for it. Nah. Not when I can get a faster combo for less.
Anyway....back to the thread contest....which I am currently winning

After 10pm, I'm like a werewolf, except I become stupid and incoherent instead of hairy and mean.

well, I sorta figured that was your favorite stacy.
Note: I made a slight edit to the rules....very reasonable.
Last place I visited (and after some browsing, it's now a favorite):
