Los Angeles, California, Hal Corbett was fleeing from the
cops. The chase had already covered several blocks and it was
getting dark when Corbett decided the best way to give the
police the slip would be to switch off his lights. Perhaps he
could lose them in the dark. His safe driving habits kept his
plan from working, however, as every time he made a turn he
signaled with his blinkers.

the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.

I always do, whether or not people are around. Otherwise, I would get into the nasty habit of not using them when I should.
I live on a relatively busy road, and people are often needing to turn into traffic. My rule of thumb is to only let them in if they have a signal on. Else, how do I know which way you want to turn? People here like to pull into the 3 lanes going north and block traffic waiting for a lane south to open. Morons.

I've noticed myself flipping the signal when the road takes a sharp bend.

Don't think you're the only one plagued by clueless drivers.
Some of the people around here don't feel that it's necessary unless they plan to move over three lanes or more. Even then they feel it's still up for debate.
I even saw one today who made three different lane changes, going down 183 at 70+, and he signalled everytime, after he made the change
There are times that I have to wonder, if they're optional equipment on some vehicles.

Dirk, that's funny; I catch myself doing that sometimes too. Hit the turn signal, then think "Duh! It's a curve!"
Came across another clueless driver this morning. Pulled into the gas station and backed my Jeep into an empty spot in front of a pickup who was gassing up (there are 2 pumps per lane). Guy throws his arms up and says "WTF?, How am I supposed to pull out?" Well how did you pull in? "I drove up to the pump." Was reverse an option on your truck you didn't get?? Long story short, he ends up backing his truck out and tears out of there like an idiot being all pissy. Was he expecting for everyone to keep the lane clear for him until he finishes fueling? If you don't know how to back a truck out of a spot you pulled into, you shouldn't be driving it! :lol :
will, thats just sad. I've had someone give me a dirty look before because i did the same thing. The problem is they pull to the closest pump leaving the pump infront of them unused but hard to get to! What idiots. If they would just simply pull up to the last one, i'd be that much easier. Some people are just too damn lazy though.
Oh yeah. I use my turn signal to let people know i just passed them

Isn't the New York - Jersey area somewhat notorious for psychotic, lame drivers?Originally posted by vwkess
I use them. Funny thing happened a couple of days ago on my way to work. I put my left turn signal on and the guy in the lane next to me starts laying on the horn. WTF? It's not like I started coming into the lane, I just put the friggin thing on!! Aren't you supposed to do that when you are about to change lanes?Later that night (around 1 am) I was pulling out of a parking lot making a right hand turn (yes, I had my turn signal on). The guy in the opposite lane of traffic slams on his brakes and lays on his horn. I guess he thought I was making a left hand turn. Hello?? Look at my turn signal!! He must've downed a few too many at the bar!! Just funny I ran into two really freaky drivers in one day.

I believe as do a majority of people that left messages that the use of the turn signal is a good practice as it allows u to communicate with the other drivers and it is the law here in Ontario anyways.....I very rarely not signal even when I am the only car on the road, It is just a habit now even if it is pointless if no one is around to see it
Dan Out....
