a close friend just passed on

Post by succubiss »

mind numbing is all i can say. I've known her for pretty much all my life, we grew up together, but we've sorta drifted apart when we went to separate colleges over the last 4 years.

she received a bullet wound to the head standing outside a club early sunday morning. she's the kindest sweetest girl in the world, 21 years old, in the prime of her life. she wouldnt hurt a fly, never heard her speak one mean word. what a tragic loss.

i spent most of today with close friends at our church, its pretty hard to grasp right now. hopefully some answers will surface, everyone's lives have been turned upside down. we continue to strive to search for meaning in this tragedy.

fortunately, she was definitely a Christian and is in a much better place now.

A reason may never be found I'm afraid. Not easy to handle and I can understand how you feel. In a former line of work I saw this sort of thing many times and it's pretty sad.

Hope things brighten up for you.

Is a very messed up cruel world we live in. Don't get answers for anything of that sort.

My friends friend who lived right next to me was thrown off the bridge a block away from my house because he didn't want to smoke weed.

Also my other friends friend was walking outside at night and was beaten to death for not having a cigarette to share from what I've heard.

Messed up shiet happens for messed up reasons

I'm deeply sorry for your loss Sam. Hopefully they will find who did that and get them off the streets.

God had a plan for her. Perhaps it was merely to inspire.

The only thing I'm sure of, is that you must celebrate her. Make sure you share her message. Make sure you smile at her funeral.

Know that for 21 years, the world was a slightly better place.

As you sleep unearthly grace
Lay Jesus hands upon your face
To this sea you've been shot down
Now find the shore, it can be found

Sorry for your loss Sam. I know it isn't easy losing a friend, been there too many times. Its a very cruel and sick world out there. Keep yer head up and remember the good times, everyone will get through it after some time and healing.

Gosh.........gosh.........

I sure am sorry to hear about that :( That's right about my age, too. Every day I wonder what would happen to me if one of my friends died like that....and now yours did. But be strong! I'm sure she would want you to be. Never forget her memories, and always remember where she is. The pain and grief that you are feeling right now are no match for the joy that you'll find if you meet again someday in that 'better place.'

I woke up this morning and my first thought was that it was just a bad dream. The sun was still shining and everything was same as usual. Then I got a call, the wake will be this friday.

here's the article, http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.c ... 212314.DTL

That is just so sad to hear. I've had freinds die from various things.. Accidents, cancer, but never a freind caught in the crossfire of a sensless shooting.. Man I feel for ya. That's gotta make a person feel sad and angry at the same time. :(
Please take care Sam..
