Hey guys, um. i have a problem with ma Cd burner.
I bought it quite a while ago from Onvia.ca its' a Yamaha 8424 IDE Internal drive
and at first it worked fine it coudl read and everything.
the problem i recently discovered is that whenever i read something it doesnt' read it
every time.. it takes along time spinning the cd and then the explorer in win2k says "e: is not formatted,
would u like to format" and blahbalhblah..
It werekd like a week ago b4 i burned like. what.. 3-4 cds. in total. . I'm wondering if it's a softwrae or a cd-r problem. the thing is i only have a year warranty on this thign and.. hrm i gotta check up when i bought this cd-r. . OCuld the laser be dead already. I'm using it as a reader and burner. ? but i burnt like what.. 4 cds max.
If i were to get my warranty. assuming i still have it.. what's the procedure i shoudl take?
Thanks!
