Does ScOtCh Tape Conduct Electricity?

I heard that scotch tape conducts electricity does it?> If it does... i coudl use it to connect da l1 bridges on ma locekd t-bird...

I felt kind of stupid doing it, but I just put a digital ohm meter across a peice of scotch tape and it read open line meaning it does not conduct electricity

no, it doesn't conduct electricity, but it does make a terrible insulator

When you peel it off the roll you can generate about 20,000 volts. It is called ESD. Electro Static Discharge. This is not a good thing to use around your electronics.

i THOUGHT i read that it did. but they were talkin about sealing in the pencil markin's so it doesn't rub off
but then now that you said it does some sort of ESD,,, i'ts not good to even use it. for a cover.

Yes I read an article about that. I would use the rear defroster grid repair kit method to unlock the multipliers and will recommend people avoid that tape "method".
