hehe well my wifey is a programmer/analyst so there is no pulling her leg when it comes to puter stuff! I am pretty much a addicted puter geek so the UPS man knows our house number by memory! hehe Actually my wife understands this is a passion of mine and we are blessed with good careers that allow me to play a little . Everytime the UPS truck pulls up my son says "Mom, another motherboard"! LOL

I DEMAND to see my lawyer before I answer anything!

heh

Actually, its my parents that give me the problems (hey, i m only 17, dont expect me to have a wife...as for girls...well, i m a pimp by blood)

Everytime I buy sometime (with my own money that I made as working at a computer graphics store over the summer btw) they keep hounding me about it. I remember the time when I had to skip school to buy a freaking soundcard. Told them I had a DECA meeting afterschool. :)

They even said I was wasting money when I got a Radeon for 75 bucks. And thats' cdn too, so its like 2 dollars US

Parents...what do they know ;)

LOL sbp ;)

Like any real man, of course the wife knows all. And like any real, I had to trick my wife into believing that whatever I wanted to upgrade was broken, or if that didn't work I whined...........

Does you wife/girlfriend know about the pr0n on your machines?

(I love NTFS, you can hide complete partitions :D )

Yeah my wife knows all about what I spend on the computers. She just shakes her head at me and makes jokes about it. I haven't bought anything in a while though; the computer is pretty much loaded at the moment.

The proper question is Who DOES NOT hide stuff they buy. In my hacienda, hardware does not neccessarily have to be hidden but games definitely do. Hardware just costs money, girls care about that but a new game means they will just see your back for about a week.....

"a new game means they will just see your back for about a week....."
LOL!!! LM, How true!! :)

Why wife is real good about these things. If fact this morning she suggested we go to BB and get another 19" for the other comp so we have two. Me "not yet." (Got my new network to worry about first.)
Hell, she's even the one who found the add for Roadrunner free install and 2 months free. She left it on the table with a note saying, "DO this call them Today!"
Hence I now have cable and lovin it..
If I even mention a game that might be good she goes out and gets it.
Kinda strange coming from a woman that hardly ever uses the comps.. Can't figure her out.
Guess I just got darn lucky to meet her. :) :) :)

So many guilty individuals here, myself included. I usually have to tell her it's for a system I'm building for somebody. There's no hiding the influx of new stuff because the empty boxes are piling up in the garage (I recycle).

The last time I had to justify a big purchase was for a big-screen TV and DVD player (I know, not comp related). 800.com had their MSN Passport deal so I was looking at over 30% off in discounts. I couldn't resist and bought both items. So that night I played with the brightness & color settings on the old 27" and kinda messed up the picture. When she noticed, I said the TV must be on its last legs when it changes settings on its own. It's time to get a new one and I said I was gonna go online and look for a good deal.

You see, a little sabotage and subterfuge can go a long way :) It worked out in the end because she really likes the new big-screen.

That's just a part of the game . It wouldn't be as much fun if I didn't have to hide it ;)
