kkmouse, first, use cntrl C to close the program, it will save where you are at and next time you start it, will take up where ya left off. Also, I wouldn't use the auto startup. It runs regardless of whether it's minimized or not. It tends to just use cpu cycles as available, I play games and do stuff and have not noticed major slowdowns because of it. Average 900 mghz Intel box takes around 1 and 1/2 hrs to do a WU, but depends, cause some WU's are much faster than others. AMD boxes tend to be faster on average it seems. Have seen where 1.2+ gig T birds are running way under an hour. According to other forum posts the FSB speed and memory is more important than raw CPU speed. No matter what speed machine your running, every little bit helps and welcome to the team!

<b>smb</b> are you wanting to cache because your on a dial-up? Best way to do that is to run more than one instance, that way you can download more than one WU at a time. Your hour/wu will be higher than normal though.

A big Howdy welcome to burner, newest Folder to the team. Thanks for coming aboard. Also, if I missed anyone else, since a team update, welcome to you also. At 7 this morning we had hit 150th place and climbing fast. Now if we had about 50 more members, this could get interesting.

well, i think i'm just going to have to write a caching program, something like seti driver..maybe i will call it "folding driver". sounds original to me.

If I run multiple instances, it's useless. i have to run at least 8 to really make a difference. I get them done in little less than an hour.
