Hope fully someone can help me out here. I have a Duron 700 on an Abit KT7 mobo and I am running a Diamond V770 Ultra on it. The system sometimes just freezes. But most of the time before freezing I will have multi-coloured lines under the cursor and then vertical coloured lines all the way across the screen. This will last for a few minutes and then freeze. Could this be video related? I am running the card at AGP4X but it ran fine when I first installed it.
Does anyone smell smoke???

If you had an previous video card, you may need to manually uninstall the old drivers. Have you checked for conflicts in Device Manager? Is anything in the PCI slot next to the agp slot?

I think your problem may be you need to update your drivers for the motherboard. I think that board is based on a chipset by Via and you probably should try and get the latest drivers from viahardware.com.

I have the MSI 6330 and a 770U in it. Previously had a ax63pro with another 770u and would get the box of multi colored lines around the mouse cursor and sometimes lines on the whole screen. I did overclock and thought it was a heat issue as it would appear after a while. Solved by rebooting. Tried different drivers, had new 4in1's, latest bios etc. Dont overclock the vid now but still got them occasionally. I got lots of fans and a GW on the card itself. Make sure you have a good 80mm fan blowing out.

That's my thoughts on it being heat from my experience. Nice card but getting a V5.
