Argh, it's SO friggin' difficult to set up ICS in WinMe. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Sygate works reliably and is easy to setup.
It's easier under Win2K.
If you are sharing cable of dsl, however, the best way to do it nowadays is to use a DSL/Cable router. I really like the SMC Barricade. They're $106 at Onvia less a $20 rebate and shipping is free.

Well i experienced with ICS for ADSL and Cable. I would say ICS is easier to use in Cable. For ADSL i recommand sygate.Actually ICs is more easier then sygate.At least you dont have to set up anything to let your icq to be able to received files. Right now i am using sygate for ADSL, and i have to setup for every client pc to be able to received files from icq. Abit troublesome...
