I cringe when I see people in YouTube videos treating it like it's a completely autonomous system. It's more like an advanced cruise control. But it looks like this situation was unavoidable. Even the driver didn't apply the brakes.

Yeah it does sound like it was unavoidable. Unless the truck had been sitting there before the car got there, but it sounds like it happened right in front of him.

That sucks. I test drove one about 2 weeks ago. It's a very impressive system but I felt weird letting the car drive itself.
