ASUS EeePC 1025C problem

Post by renovation »

this I have had for a while . today I plug it in . got it to go to bios's kind of .
set the date and hit save .then restart and dates still go back to 11-10-2012 or something like that anyway. it also having a problem when I try to get it to boot up. also using the up and down area trying to go between bios and windows boot up from f8 sticks or hangs up I'm not sure if its a bad hard drive or motherboard or just a doa monthboard battery if this even have a motherboard battery. any clue 's it was a freebe so if I toss it I'm good with that to.
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

Sure sounds like a dead CMOS battery.

They sell replacements, but I bet under that heat shrink is a standard CR2032 battery.
