last yard cutting for 2015

Post by renovation »

lawn tractor getting its last run of the season today . after I spend about 1 hour cutting the grass today. it be parked till spring . Im attaching a battery tender on it and already added stable to the gas. wont be used again till May of 2016 . I only use full Synthetic Oil -found it worth the price . change it 3 times a season and new oil filter each time to. maybe a bit over kill on the filter. seeing factory spec. say every other oil change but $6.00 is cheaper then the chance of paying $1000 for a new motor every 4-10 years.
really do see a different using Synthetic Oil still yellow and not so gritty between changes -never deep black like conventional motor oils. i seen after just 5-10 min's of running conventional oil it turn black in small 4 cyl. lawn mowers motors . also twice a season I remove the air filter . blow out the air filter. maybe over kill but to some . every year the spark plugs are checked .and every 2 years replaced . I also added a inline clear gas filter.
after burning up one lawn tractor after 6 years of ownership . I changed my ways. sure the old one had a Briggs motor and that may of been part of the problem . this one with a Kohler motor. I plan on keeping for a very long time.
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

I'm going to do my last cut this week, put stuff away, and get the snowblower ready.
