was at a 2nd dealership today for my other car this time.
I only brought in one key with me . anyway the write up person said you only want one key done . I said what I was told they be swapping out my switch and lock cylinder in the door .she said we just add a adapter to the key . then I said no im told they be swapping the above .she said your right there 2 different lock recalls ! I also had the driver send my 2nd key back to the dealership with him. after he drop me back off at the house.
(yes im tired of dealing with cars and dealerships .

You should try working for them......for 35+ yrs and counting! Often times, fixing the cars is the easy part.yes im tired of dealing with cars and dealerships
As for recalls, Toyota/Lexus has many of them and some models have had an amazing amount of recalls. At least they're all free to the customers and we usually make out well on them too, helps keep us busy so it's a win, win really. Sure, inconvenient for the owners but better than a messed up, broken down old car right?
In the old days, you just said screw it and bought another car.

Been very happy with my 07 Camry. No recalls that except that silly "gas pedal" recall where they cut off the bottom of my gas pedal so that it couldn't snag on the carpet, which would be impossible anyway since the carpet is held down by clips. That seemed like an utter waste of time.
How are the newer Camrys holding up, or do you only work on Lexus?

fyi - I loved the report on the car that the dealer ship wrote up . said car has a (SWAY BAR IS BROKEN ). I get the car home and do a inspection to see if there is a Broken Sway Bar or Sway Bar Link . (seeing the sway bar links are made of a hard plastic ) I'm thinking its possible been replaced by me some years back . there fine nothing seem broken .glad I checked do the boot on my right front outer drive shaft is ripped . had replaced the same axle just a year ago due to a bad CV joint . glad I bought a lifetime replacement axle shaft from Autozone . Monday night this will be fixed in a friends garage cost to me 1 hour free labor .
sad when you can't trust a dealer to give a correct tech report .thought it was funny they didn't even try selling me a car repair to fix any problems when they called or I returned to pick the car back up. never even talked about any problems at all .just had to pay for the oil change I order .$11.69 out the door .I may need to pull the dipstick and see if the oil was really changed . wont be going back to Lafontaine Buick ,Gmc & Cadillac for any more service work . hell the service writer didn't even know how the recall was handle on the switch . he tried saying just the keys were modified - but the billing client statement said switch was R/R and 2 keys . then I asked about getting a second copy of the original recall .said there computer wouldn't let them print a copy .he acted like he tried to anyway will give that to him.
sad service . was also told my car be out front in a moment after they ran it though the car wash -this was a fail -car was sitting out were he said I'd find it and not washed .they porter just brought it there and said here your car Dirty like it arrived to the dealer - thought I was getting a free Car wash (not ). didn't car really just took it to the $5.00 car wash down the road and had it cleaned .

The problem with the gas pedal recall was/is that an amazing amount of people use aftermarket floor mats and/or double them up and that's what can then cause problems.
It all started years ago when a guy was driving an ES 350 (same car basically as your Camry) and it had an aftermarket floor mat that got stuck. The driver panicked, was unable to control the car and all 4 people in that car died in a crash.
To this day and despite all the recalls to make sure that that can never happen again, Lexus wants us (at all Lexus dealers) to remove and document every aftermarket, double stacked or unclipped floor mat from every car that enters the dealerships and every RO has a like for checking that too. It's a HUGE deal and many of our customers are still guilty of having just ONE, properly installed OEM drivers floor mat, amazing!
As for your Camry, it's basically the same car as an ES 350 and they're probably the simplest and least problematic cars out there. My mother has an '11 ES 350 too, never a problem with it. The ONLY thing that it'll need someday (if not already done) is a water pump but most cars need those replaced at some point anyway. Maybe a front timing cover re-seal but not all that common either.

I'll have to take a look at the Lexus ES 350. I do like the photos of the interior on the website.
When I got the Camry I got the XLE package for the nice small luxury upgrades. Never thought I'd use the sunroof, but I use it all the time - especially florida winters.
