My Epson Workforce 545 was still alive after sitting idle for over 9 months. I powered it up reset the date and time ran a head clean and all is good. Still showing full ink cartridges.
I thought for sure i be buying a new printer due to leaving the old ink cartages in the printer.
Times have changed on epson printers i guess or I just got reallly lucky.

You did get lucky, but that said I really like Epson inkjet printers lately. I own two of their Artisan class printers, and I have several customers who have their workforce printers. Their ink is much more stable leading to longer shelf lives. I lightly use my printers (I have a network laser as my primary) but I never have issues with clogs or priming.
HP inkjets are crap, although they still have the best lasers.
