Best Way to Push Updates to Remote users?

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

Ok.. So here's my situation.. We have quite a few remote users that may or may not connect to the Domain via VPN on a regular basis. I'm trying to find a way to force either their machines or the DC to push/check for updates automatically whenever they're connected to each other. I'm probably just not using the right search terms, but any help would be appreciated. What do you guys do in situations like this? There's got to be some kind of a way to force these things to pull updates when they call home.. haha

TIA!

Windows Updates?

You could set it up in Group Policy so that their PC has to do Windows Updates automatically.

Yes, that would be great if I knew when the machine was going to be online. o I need to take a closer look at the GP and see if I can schedule it to update whenever it sees the AD..

Thanks!
