Legacy HP 1012 installation in Win7x64

Post by wvjohn »

Rebuilding my old system and took me a while to remember this - I have an old warhorse HP 1012 laserjet that is ~10 yr old and still works like a champ.
HP says you're out of luck, but the Windows Vista 64bit driver works fine.

Someone might run into this.

You can also use the generic Laserjet 2200 PCL5 driver that comes with Win7. It's works with any HP Laserjet.

I'm still using my HP Photosmart 8450. It has to be at least 12 years old. I don't print much at home. Most of what I print goes straight to pdf. I print the occasional shipping label.
