The best solution is to take it to another dealer and see what they say.
That will not only cost an hour's diag. time but most dealers don't want to get involved in another shops F'up, politics. It's a "he said", "she said" type thing.

Oh, I don't know if I'd survive without internet. Google is the rest of my brain. Glad to hear all is well.

My Time Warner Roadrunner cable internet costs me about $70 per month now, not exactly cheap but at least gas prices have gone down.

So, what ever happened with the transmission?

it cost me a ton $3200.00 plus had to dish out for the rental car when I took it to the 2nd dealer .that time they pulled the unit again and replaced a gear and installed a new seal in the unit .repair was free and under the warrienty (it better of been ) but there was no rental car coverage the 2nd time around . I personally don't think I'll ever by a GM car again.my wifes so pro gm it makes me sick . she feels she supporting family who works for them .but I wont buy a new GM myself again . glad my daughter bought a new Toyota 3 months ago now .

Well, realize that your car's at least 10 yrs old and that no one makes a perfect car but yes, some are better than others overall and every manufacturer has good cars and not so good cars. Then too, sometimes it's a matter of luck and/or maintenance as for how long things last.
In my years working on cars, I can say that no car is perfect and w/o some sort of problems sooner or later.
