Interstellar

Post by Executioner »

Wife and I saw this yesterday. The movie was so intriguing, that I had no idea that almost 3 hours had already passed. Normally, I would move in my seat etc to get comfortable while watching your typical flick.

Won't say a whole lot except that it goes into love, dimensionality, exploration as a species, overpopulation, family issues, technology, and relativity to name a few that I can recall. The key was to figure out gravity. Has a rating of 9.1 from IMDB. A very well written and directed movie IMHO.

Has some decent actors just to name a few:
Matthew McConaughey
John Lithgow
Anne Hathaway
Michael Caine
Jessica Chastain
Matt Damon

For those that watch movies on the big screen, this is a MUST SEE movie on the big screen.

Just saw it on IMAX in Fort Lauderdale.
I'd give it about an 8 out of 10. Not a bad movie and nice on a real screen.

I was just lamenting about the fact that Sci-Fi movies were all the same last night. Guess I'll see how this goes.

I have a hard time sitting in a theater for 3hrs. I wish they'd have intermissions during long movies like in the old days.

Bob's misses the gold ole' days when this would play mid-way through his movies:

Haha I remember those when I was a kid. Thanks for making me feel older than Bob.

Theoretical physicist Kip Thorne was a consultant on the film, and one of his theories is the basis for the plot.

Finally watched this. I'm a bit torn on it actually. There were a number of fundamental flaws to the storyline that were suspending my ability to become immersed. However, if I didn't put on my critical eyes, it was a decent movie.
