Will still end up needing adapters... So unless all cables come with one it will get annoying quick. Mobile devices will adapt faster, but computer will take much longer. Though it is an advantage for laptops and tablets when trying to aiming to be slim and more compact. It takes a lot of physical space for the ports. Fortunately seeing laptops dropping off VGA connectors which almost no one uses anymore.
When all else fails, replace the user.

Bite your tongue. There's still a lot of video projectors that are VGA only.

I also prefer VGA for Media Center. HDMI still has serious DRM and overscan issues when connecting a PC to an HDTV.
