Isn't the ROG supposed to be out already?
Supposed to be out late this month but haven't seen it yet. Waiting for reviews. Doubly confusing because there's a non G-sync model for $450 with the same model number available now, but the G-sync version will be closer to $800.
Ahh found a review here:

I have no interest in 4K for desktop or gaming. 2560x1440 is more than enough. I think 4K is too high a resolution to be practical right now, and it's not cost effective. You need a beefy video card to actually play games at 4K without sacrificing performance. In desktop use it's way too high a resolution that will force you to increase the text DPI which defeats the whole purpose.
I'm more interested in a G-Sync monitor for my gaming rig. The pair of old Dell 2208WFP monitors on my main desktop still does the job nicely for non-gaming.
