The Lone Ranger

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I give it a 7 out of 10. Johnny Depp makes the whole movie. Without him it would be meh.

Lot's of action, great visuals. My only complaint is that it was too long. Honestly, unless you're filming an epic like Avatar or Gone with the Wind, NO movie should be longer than 2 hours.

Seems like every friggin' director now thinks his movie is an epic.

Glad you commented on this as it's on my list of movies to see but reviews haven't been good.

I'd go so far to say that it's worth seeing in the theater. Visuals are nice. I just don't think it deserves to be 2 hours and 40 minutes. That said, though, I was entertained nearly the whole time.

It's definitely a different take on the Lone Ranger, and there's a lot of the same humor that you saw in Pirates of the Caribbean.

I've been debating watching this, but I doubt I'll have time anyhow.

Just saw it and yeah, they should have shortened it in parts but the ending was good. Overall I liked it

Want to see RIPD next.

Guess I'll have to wait till it's on video. We finally got someone to watch our kid and none of the theaters around me are showing it anymore....

Wow, RIPD for a 12% critics rating on Rotten Tomators, and 46% audience rating.

Pity. The previews looked funny.
