Plastic Adhesive

I have some new wheels that I bought for my 96 Vette. The center cap had a Vette emblem for the C4 class. After about 2 weeks, all 4 emblems have fallen off. They were glued on from the factory. I was able to get replacement emblems, but now I'm wondering what would be a good adhesive to use. It has withstand brake temperatures (not really sure how high). I'm guessing less than 200°F? Evil probably knows.

The original ones, the glue got soft and the emblems fell off.

Emblems look like this: NOTE: just the emblem part which is in the center with the Chevy logo. The ones in this pic replace the entire center cap which I don't want to do at this point.

Thanks for the info and link. Just wondering if it can withstand higher temperatures than ambient.

+1 on 3M adhesives. i used one of their double-sided tapes to replace a few emblems on a car once. the factory adhesive came off like nothing...the 3M...after a few years...was like part of the car and a heat gun was needed to soften enough to remove. slightly different application, of course.

I have a lot of under the hood billet gear that is adhered to the factory parts using 3M double-sided tapes and you know it gets hot in there and none of them have fallen off or come loose.. It should do fine for your wheels.

Worst case, I know that silicone will take 500+ degree heat.

Just want to update this thread. I ordered that 3M Adhesive when it was mentioned in this thread. I applied it about a week ago, and let them sit for a couple of days without driving the car. It's been a week now, and they are still on the center hub.

Yea h that was my first choice, but I wanted to see what other products might work.
