The only drawback I see to this tablet is the lack of a microSD slot for expanding your memory for media (although it has a USB port), which with a cheap dongle adapter and a thumb drive can achieve the same thing but sorta killing the whole tablet look & feel with that USB drive hanging like a rat tail. Also a rear facing camera would have sealed the deal for me. None the less for 199 this is an awesome tablet. I think I will try to hold off just a bit more with my ASUS Transformer TF-101 until something else comes out that I like. I think this will kill Amazon's Kindle Fire soon enough.

I do like that tablets have actually become a truly portable computing solution. I remember when the first tablet PCs by HP & Toshiba came out, they were pretty much a joke in my eyes.. But with the advent of the iPad it just busted the market wide open. I like seeing these things. When I build a house, I'm planning on mounting tablets in various rooms for home automation and multimedia uses..

Yes, that is what I was thinking as well.. The fun part will be learning how to build a control board for all of it. I know it can be done, I'm just not sure if I have the skill set needed to do it. But I'm sure there are switches/outlets out there that you can buy that will interface with a piece of software over wireless to control the house..Pugsley wrote:At 200 dollars that's allot cheaper then real home automation panels. And will probably work better then the real things.
