car detailing ?

Post by renovation »

what do we all use to really deep clean the interior of cars floor-mats , carpet, dash ,door panels , chrome, steering wheel.
tricks that you use to do the job right .
took the wifes carpet shampooer ( brissel heated unit )out to try and clean her mats . it was about useless got some dirt but nothing like i expected it to talk about disappointment . works great for the house carpet really good at them but then again we do them every 2 weeks to a month.
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

On floor mats. Use a pressure washer with a little soap to get all the dirt out. Then use a shop vac to vacuum the left over water and dirt. Works every time.

Yup, I to to one of the self serve car washes & soap them down first thing & then rinse them off last thing. Ours even has clips on the walls to hold the mats.

Oh and if you have stubborn stains on your vinyl, grab a magic eraser. Only thing that worked on my wife's old Fiero. Made the vinyl look new.

In that case, I suggest upolstry paint if you care enough. That stuff actually works. But honestly, with floor mats, I just buy a new set every few years.

+1 on the pressure wash/coin op car wash idea.

+1 on the upholstery paint.

Michigan winters is tough on those mats.
