I have a Vox Black Box Raid unit.
Essentially it's 2 SATA bay's with a controller and a gigabit Ethernet connection.
I have 2 3TB SATA Drives.
Question is what is my best way to go with these?
I can go raid 0, Raid 1 or linear. Suggestions?

What's your goal? Max Performance w/no Redundancy, or Max Reliability/Failsafe?

+1 on that. if i had to choose blindly, i'd mirror them for redundancy. a little extra speed isn't worth the risk of losing everything, imho.

You don't need speed in a NAS. You want redundancy.

Yeah, go for speed on whatever you're backing up & redundancy on the NAS.

Goal is more a NAS for storage on the network. The 3.5 TB's of space in my Media box is filling fast, The 1.5 TB external I have is 3/4 full.
Thanks guys.

Doesn't matter. Enclosure won't see the full 3tb. sees 800gb per disk. Going to do some house keeping and put the 2 drives in my PC, and pull my 2 smallest drives for the enclosure.
