Best watch internet movies on the tv box?

I was using a ps3 to watch Nutflix but the ps3 is a pain to use - and ps network is stupid - Roku? etc seems to be the deal - don't want to go to the bother of building an htpc rig

what do you peeps use?

i used a Roku at a friends for a bit...seemed pretty solid. i use an aging seagate freeagent theater+ to play mkv/avi files. i don't stream much on it from online, but it does the job when i watch the occasional youtube or netflix with it.

i think the higher-end Roku also has a usb port so you can connect a drive to it...that's a must have if i was shopping for something right now.

Tons of ways to watch videos, but the Roku does have a great number of usable channels.

It is also much easier for content providers to add channels to it, so it makes it have more variety. Apparently the new Roku 2 high-end model includes a special remote for playing games on it now as well. Probably not so useful to most of us, but you never know I suppose.

I use the least expensive Roku box to watch Netflix instant movies, shows all the time and it's great, no problems.
I also have a slingbox so I can watch anything from my Direct TV channels (incl DVR) on any PC or Apple device anywhere.

I mostly use one of my Win7 Media Center PCs (I have 2 of them connected to two HDTVs in my house).

However, you could also pickup a cheap BluRay player. Most of them have Netflix built in. I have a Samsung BluRay in my guest room connected via Wifi and it does Netflix just fine.

I have the Sony Google TV Box with BluRay... Love it and it plays Netflix great. However I gave up netflix for RedBox. Then I can rip em...ooops never mind.

I am using an HD Tivo. Very happy with it except that I have Amazon Prime - which allows free streaming to PCs - but I can only get Amazon movies through the TIVO by paying for them.

I mostly use Netflix and have really had no issues streaming from Netflix.

To note, you can get access to it by using a Roku. Not many devices support Amazon Instant, no apps for consoles either.

in case you see this yet tonight, amazon has the highest model Roku 2 XS 1080p as a deal of the day now for $79. tough to beat that.

to make it even sweeter, they are pushing an update to officially add mkv file support via the USB connection. i don't think it's offically supported via streaming from another device on your home network yet, but there are workarounds i guess. the USB mkv support is the golden ticket for me...and built-in wireless. sweet little device.
