Whenever I carry a laptop I always carry an extra keyboard and an extra mouse. It's not like they're mobile devices in any case, after one year the battery life is down to carrying it from the kitchen to the living room. And if I do have to answer a quick note from the airport then I can also live with crappy keyboard crappy mouse, lol
For me laptops are more like my work computer which I can take to another place and set up there quickly.
Usually when we spend the summer at the beach or I visit my parents up north I even take my monitor. But I hope that now with the 17 inch 16:9 I can finally actually work on the lap top screen...
