Another Hard Drive Manufacturer Selling Out

Post by normalicy »

Welp, last week we heard that Hitachi was selling off their business & now Samsung is following suit. That's sad because I've had nothing but good luck with the Samsungs I've purchased. It also narrows the field of competitors severely (Leaving only WD, Seagate and Toshiba).

Looks like Seagate has been purchased by Seagate (that was quick):

And yeah, I've had nothing but good to say about Hitachi & Samsung drives so far. They're not perfect, but after that 500gb barrier, Seagate & WD seemed to stumble pretty bad.
