who know's cable tv ?
i have comcast and use those little receiver boxs for 2 sets ,plus a main receiver unit . one of the boxs stop giving us sound only on are local tv stations . we get picture but no sound .there sending us a new box but is that the problem or a bigger problem at there end and this is just a easy fix for them.
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.

I'll update in 3-5 days when the replacement arrives and hooked up. i didnt feel like driving 20 plus mile to there office and then back again .not like we use this tv that much any way !

god i love comcast got the new unit .
hook it up get the message on the TV call in to activate.
I call in and get asked a couple of questions by the automated phone service . that transfer me to a live person as there is something wrong with the signal/or box.
OK the tech gives me some things to do .
i do them he said i send in a signal now .no picture just the same screen after 5 Min's.
he said let it be for 45 min to a hour if still not working call back. OK and i let it sit.
call back in get the automated services again .after 5 Min's on it .I'm switched to a new tech .OK same thing as last time said i sent a new signal call back in a hour if no TV.
2 hours later i call back again something automated BS.then a tech. this time the tech said they need to send a tech to my home . they setup a appointment said between 8am and 10 am (this is for yesterday Saturday).
they call me at like 9 or 10 pm to confirm the appointment and i still need tech . I confirm and told he will call 1/2 hour before arriving . I'm great with this as its are TV in my bedroom. it also give the wife time to get her crap together.
well all go's as plan I got up at 7am. we get a call at 7:45 its the tech. he says turn the TV on i think i have it fixed.
I'm like WTH. sure enough he had it fixed . he said it was they never added account to my case . so there was no way for my unit to get the signal or some crap like that. it was all do to there people in the office. not doing there job right . now i get to find a UPS store and drop the old unit thats box up in there return carton.

I've had similar problems with our work AT&T account. One day we just lost service with no explanation. All hardware worked fine, receiving signal & everything. After a long period of time on the phone with various reps, we found out that they changed the way that the accounts received passwords & thus changed our password. Only problem was that they didn't tell us & our modem couldn't log in.
