Got a little $ for xmas and I've been thinkking about getting one - willing to spend up to about $300 for a decent one - my quick research shows that Davis is well regarded

i owned a La Crosse Technology and had bad luck with it . setup didn't last 6 month -year and died ! now the guy next door got one and his is still working last i heard.
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.

looks like the Davis units are the way to go....but....they charge
$150
for a usb dongle so you can run it through your pc....that's a deal breaker for me as a PCA guy....I'm sure that there are at least $2.00 in parts involved....
